As a clinical social work candidate (SWC), C is dedicated to providing compassionate care to individuals navigating complex challenges. C specializes in treating trauma, including complex and religious trauma, and offers a safe, brave space for clients to heal and grow. C approach to therapy integrates Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) (C is an IFS-informed provider).

C brings a unique background to their practice, holding dual master’s degrees in Social Work (MSW) and Divinity (MDiv), as well as a certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions in Social Work (HAEI-SW). This diverse education equips C with a comprehensive understanding of human-animal interactions and animal-assisted therapy, a knowledge base they hope to apply with their certified therapy dog, Fusion, in the future. C’s lived experiences with invisible disabilities and professional experience as a psychosocial rehabilitation therapist deeply influence their therapeutic approach, allowing them to understand the complexities of mental health from both a personal and professional perspective.
