Hi, I’m C blanck.

MDiv, MSW, HAEI-SW, SWC

I combine clinical expertise, lived experience, and creative approaches to support healing and growth. As a clinical social work candidate within the state of Colorado (SWC.0000001636), I specialize in trauma therapy, including complex and religious trauma, with a focus on empowering LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and written exposure therapy to help clients build resilience and achieve lasting healing.

Through Sacred Scars LLC, I also provide consultation services to organizations and congregations, helping foster inclusivity and create affirming spaces for individuals from marginalized communities. Additionally, I host a podcast where I amplify stories of resilience, healing, growth, and encouraging connection in the wake of religious trauma.

My dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Divinity and a certification in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions inform my unique approach to therapy and consultation. Drawing from my experiences with invisible disabilities and work as a psychosocial rehabilitation therapist, I aim to provide a compassionate, accessible, and inclusive environment. I also look forward to integrating animal-assisted therapy into my practice with my certified therapy dog, Fusion, in the future.

Hi, I’m Fusion.

Fusion is a sweet and goofy Labrador mix born in New Mexico around March 1, 2023. His early life had some challenges—surrendered to a rescue at six months due to "inadequate housing," he found his way to Colorado through the Retriever Rescue of Colorado. After a whirlwind weekend, Fusion landed with C as an emergency foster on November 4, 2023. His charm and loving personality quickly won C’s heart, and the adoption was finalized on November 20, 2023.

Fusion’s journey hasn’t been without its hurdles. He initially struggled with separation anxiety but found joy and confidence through regular daycare visits and training. He loves playing with his friends and is known for his exuberant spirit. Fusion also battled a bout of kennel cough but recovered fully, emerging stronger and more resilient.

In February 2024, Fusion achieved a major milestone, becoming a certified therapy dog through the Professional Therapy Dogs of Colorado program. Currently, C and Fusion provide animal-assisted therapy in a community mental health setting only. While Fusion is certified, he’s still a young pup and needs time to rest and recharge. In the future, C and Fusion hope to expand their work, offering animal-assisted therapy and therapy dog appearances through Sacred Scars LLC.
